Construction start of a new section - 25 Mar 2014

On August 29th, 2013 the construction of a new section of the Hemus highway with length of 4.898 km commenced. This section runs from the village of Belokopitovo to the town of Kaspichan. The largest road junction in Bulgaria will be constructed in this section, intended to connect the road Ruse – Varna and the road – Koritna – Belokopitovo via road junction with road I-7 to the town of Silistra. Avtomagistrali – Tcherno More JSC – Shumen is the Contractor of the construction and mounting works (CMW) and the construction supervision will be performed by Patinvestengineering JSC. The Project is under the New Construction Program (NCP) and will be completely financed by the State Budget. The Project is expected to be completed within 18 months. The ceremony began with blessing of water celebrated by Father Dimitar, and the fist symbolic sod was turned by the Minister of the Ministry of Regional Development– Desislava Terzieva, in the presence of the District Governor of Shumen – Ventsislav Venkov, the Mayor – Krasimir Kostov and Lazar Lazarov M. Sc. – member of the Board of Managers of Road Infrastructure Agency.
