About us

" Karovcha" Quarry is located 5 km from the town of Devnya and 25 km from the city of Varna north of the "Hemus" Highway. The quarry has been treated since 1967, and nowadays it is operated with a concession contract from 2001, which has been in force since 1966.

Porcelain and granular limestones are extracted from the quarry, which pass through a crushing-screening production line. The finished material is suitable for road bases with low and normal load, as well as asphalt and concrete mixtures of low classes.

Production needs are met successfully, thanks to high-tech mechanization and internal transport.

From the quarry are obtained:

• BDS EN 12620: 2002 + A1: 2008 - Admixtures for concrete.
• BDS EN 13043: 2005 + AC: 2005 - Rock materials for bituminous mixtures and pavements for roads, airfields and other transport areas.
• BDS EN 13242: 2002 + A1: 2007 - Rock materials for unbound and hydraulically bound mixtures for use in construction facilities and road construction according to system 2+ conformity assessment obligations are fulfilled and the production control meets all the prescribed requirements for these performance indicators.
• The material-petrographic composition of the extracted raw material is certified by an accredited laboratory according to BDS EN ISO / IEC 17025: 2006.
• BDS EN 932-3: 2000 / A1: 2004 - The raw material is of sedimentary origin and is made of calcium carbonate rock material of the limestone type.
